HIGH-QUALITY AMPLIFIER CIRCUITS

Accurate recording. Full power. Enjoy the most accurate stereo sound possible without any signal deterioration thanks to the high-quality microphone amplifier. It uses an advanced amplifier circuit to suppress interference – for original stereo sound audio recording from a compact device. OLYMPUS engineers have also gone even further to develop a new codec, so you have even clearer sound quality with less noise during AD/DA music conversion.

Because it’s so robust and cutting-edge, you’ll want to take this pocket-sized audio recorder with you wherever you go – especially also thanks to Direct USB capability for easy data storage and transfer.

96KHZ/24-BIT LINEAR PCM RECORDING

Smooth sound. Better-than-CD quality. The LS-P1 supports linear PCM recording at rates of up to 24 bits and sampling frequencies as high as 96kHz – far surpassing the 44.1kHz/16 bits of CD-quality audio. When you select this bit rate and sampling frequency, you can readily make a CD of your own recordings.

MANUAL RECORDING LEVEL

Dynamic sound with every song . By fine-tuning the recording level to match the volume of the audio source, you can capture high-quality music recordings that make the most of the dynamic range. Fine level control is aided by the PEAK display lamps and the lever meter on the LCD display.

LOW-CUT FILTER

Clear conversation recordings. When the Low-cut Filter is set to cut frequencies below 300Hz, it can eliminate background noises such as air conditioners or projectors. When switched to 100Hz, these noises are reduced while the audio recorder continues to capture lower frequency sound.

TRIPOD MOUNT ADAPTER

Professional-level set-up. This PCM recorder may be compact, but you still have the option of using a sturdy tripod – thanks to the supplied tripod mount adapter. Simply screw in onto the socket built into the audio recorder and then attach to a tripod for a more professional recording set-up for your session.

LIMITER

Fail-proof recordings. When you are recording your music using the manual recording level, you also have the option of using the Limiter function. It is effective for preventing unwanted sound clipping. If the input level surpasses the maximum recording level, the Limiter function compresses the peak level. So you can capture your songs exactly as you like, with the clear quality you want.

CALENDAR SEARCH

Find what you’re looking for. Fast. With this handy function, your saved audio files are automatically marked with the date and displayed in the calendar format. This makes it quick and easy for you to search for files. Plus, a dedicated calendar button on the stereo recorder allows for immediate viewing.

INTELLIGENT AUTO MODE

Does the adjusting for you. To make listening to your audio recordings more comfortable, Intelligent Auto Mode automatically adjusts the recording level to match the volume of the sound source. When a speaker is talking very loudly, the recorder reduces the input level, and for soft voices the recorder increases the input level – to always provide an even level of volume.

ZOOM MICROPHONE

Adjusts to its environment. The latest directional quality control technologies narrows the directionality of the microphone and, increasing the recording level enables you to zoom into the sound source you want to record. Unleash the power of proximity recording in noisy environments, or when recording from a distance.

VOICE BALANCER

Now everyone can be heard. The Voice Balancer feature makes softer voices louder while keeping louder voices below a given level, ensuring that playback is clear and consistent. It simultaneously eliminates the low and high frequency ranges of a voice recording to enhance the speaker’s voice even further.

NOISE CANCEL

Less noise. More sound. The Noise Cancel function ensures clear quality when you want to play back your songs, or any other voice recording. That’s because it powerfully reduces unwanted continuous background noise while you are recording, such as that caused by busy environments.
