This is an amazing macro lens. I love the size and light weight. It does take some time to fully learn and master this lens. The Olympus learn and support center website is very good and has a lot of practical info. For 1:1 macro photos it is important to learn what the working distance from your subject is. I discovered that once you know that you can even use autofocus. Would definitely recommend this 60mm macro lens.

This is by far the best bang for your buck for a macro lens! Weather-sealed and the quick-dial focus distance are very useful features for this lens. Images are sharp and I love the in-camera focus stacking available with the mid to top range camera bodies. Micro four thirds depth-of-field paired with focus stacking gives you the best possible macro images. The working distance of this lens is also very good for insect macro photography. You'll have a very good chance of capturing images without disturbing them.
