Very durable and versitle camera for my uses. I am in construction and an avid hiker/outdoors enthusiast. I have used this camera now for a couple years and can't wait for the new version to come out this fall hopefully. For construcion it does whats needed for documentaion and is reliable in all conditions. The screen could use a little move brightness in sunlight but that's minor compared to the features that are packed into this camera. The macro functions lets me document the details well.

I bought this primarily with underwater photography in mind. I also bought the underwater housing for it. I previously had an underwater camera that failed while snorkelling in the Galápagos Islands. The OM System underwater housing is insurance against failure. I have not used the camera yet, but judging from high quality build, I expect the camera will perform well.

I purchased the TG-7 for my grandson RJ for his trip to Europe next month. He loves it! He is practicing taking photos with it now and is very excited at what the camera can do. Macro, Zoom, and all the other settings he can use. I also had the TG-6 on my travels and I loved it.

I purchased an OM SYSTEM Tough TG-7 because of its reputation as a rugged, dependable camera. Unfortunately, my ownership experience has been the complete opposite. The camera has required repairs far more often than I ever expected for a product marketed as durable. What has been even more disappointing than the repeated equipment failures has been the customer service experience. Over the course of dealing with OM SYSTEM customer support and the Canadian service centre, communication has been slow, inconsistent, and frustrating. Getting updates on repairs has often required repeated follow-ups, and responses have not inspired confidence that customer concerns are being taken seriously. Instead of feeling supported, I have felt like I had to chase information every step of the way. When you invest in a premium camera, you expect not only reliable equipment but also responsive after-sales support when something goes wrong. In my experience, neither expectation has been met. Multiple repairs, extended downtime, and poor communication have made ownership far more stressful than enjoyable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend the TG-7 or OM SYSTEM's Canadian customer support and service network. Just starting, but good all around camera and I enjoy the weather resistance. The great thing for me is the GPS logging system. Great to add to finished hikes at the correct location. Had to buy the telephoto attachment, but did not enjoy buying the lens mount at too high of a cost (didn’t want to buy the knock-offs). Lots of features I haven’t used yet. But so far, so good.

I picked up the TG-7 because I wanted something smaller than my Lumix that could take a little abuse. I've had the TG-7 for a couple of weeks now and it has definitely met that expectation! My only complaint is that there isn't as much zoom as I would expect in a camera at this price. On the plus side, I'm just starting to learn about it's macro capabilities and they are really impressive! The TG-7 isn't a replacement for your all rounder, but it is a good option when you want to be able to take a decent camera out on a hike or in a storm.

I've had this camera for a year now and I highly recommend it. During the past year, I was lucky enough to take it to Iceland, Germany, Australia, Austria and South Korea, tested it in all sorts of weather, took it underwater, take snapshots of everyday life in Europe and submerge it under glacier melted icewater. This thing delivered amazingly. The images and memories I was able to capture are amazing and beautiful. I don't know of any other device that captures raw images, does macro, handles anything mother nature throws at you and capture amazing images. If you're into watches, you'll know of what a GADA watch (Go Anywhere Do Anything) means. This Camera is, what I like to call, a GACA (Go Anywhere, Capture Anything). Om Systems staff have been supportive and nice whenever I called for help and thats always a big plus in my books. If you ask me and you're on the fence, I recommend strongly grabbing one.

Very impressed with everything this camera did when learning to use it with the downloaded manual. Recommended by National Geographic, I ordered this camera specifically to use while snorkeling (no deep diving) on a trip to the Galapagos. The camera seemed to work well on the first 45 minute snorkel outing, but the on/off button seemed to "freeze" afterwards. I was unable to turn the camera on after the first outing - no other expedition photographer could fix or explain the problem - unable to take any underwater pictures after day one. Unable to reach a real person via a phone call. Requested a call back on a website form - still waiting. Returned the camera for "repair," following website instructions - hope it works. GREAT CAMERA ON PAPER, FAILED IN THE WATER, CANNOT EVALUATE "CUSTOMER SERVICE" SINCE THERE WAS NONE. HOPE I GET A WORKING CAMERA BACK!!
