I've been using the OM-3 for about 2 months (with the 12-40 f28; 40-15 f4, & 60mm f2.8 macro): I wanted to give it a good "go" before writing my thoughts. While I have hardly touched the sides of what this beast is capable of, I have to drop a review. I bought it as a 2nd camera, something light to travel with that I wouldn't worry about weather; I had no intentions of considering giving up my Nikon full-frame for "real" shooting! But after 2 months... my perspective has changed. The Nikon sits lonely in its bag. The OM-3 is incredible... so portable, so flexible, so customizable.... It's a joy to use. And as hard as I've looked, I can't complain about IQ. I struggled to justify the investment for a "2nd" camera, but I am so glad I did. It is changing how and how much I shoot... and I'm having a lot more fun!! The OM-3 is far more than a light travel camera: it is a race horse, a work horse, and has more tricks up its sleeve than you can ever use!

I have been a M43 for years epm1 epm2, ep5, ep7, em5, em10 etc. This camera has replaced everything, the beauty of the pen F but the specs of the OM1m2. It's basically the only camera I reach for when I'm going out.

I absolutely love this camera. I traded in my Canon EOS 6 Mark II for the OM-3 and very happy to have switched.

As a first time MFT user and coming from other brands, I have thoroughly enjoyed the OM-3. So far, I have only explored the photo side of things. The body is roughly the same size as my 35mm film cameras and, in some cases, lighter. With the small 17mm f1.8, the camera stays small, light, and unobtrusive. A grip might be convenient if you use the bigger and heavier zooms. Ergonomics are great, from the dials to menu system. When I was going through the reviews, some people lamented the little power switch being positioned on the top left. If you carry your camera on a strap and hanging on the right. You can lift the camera with your right hand while powering it on with your left. No big deal. You often have both hands on your body anyway. Most importantly, the image quality this camera produces is outstanding and right out of the box, too. Jpegs SOOC are indeed as good as other reviewers have said. Sharing is so easy. Connect wirelessly, access the files via the app and load them directly into your photos app. A little culling, perhaps a little crop here and there, and you're done. If RAW is your preference, you have even more editing latitude, especially at higher ISOs. In any case, you really need to push the camera hard and blow up images quite an amount before they become unacceptable. Overall very impressive The camera offers a bunch of general looks and in "creative" mode you have access to even more. Plus, you can easily tweak those to create your preferred look. Modifying them is a straightforward process. It would be nice if white balance sticks with a look, but you can lock it in with the custom settings you select on your top dial. Besides the images, the camera is very easy to configure to suit your needs. Reprogram to your heart's content. The dials, screens, OVF and Fn buttons are already changed from their default on my camera. One thing I really like is that autoexposure lock stays on until you turn it off. A nice feature on a tiny camera! The super screen, plus the creative dial, plus the computational button make configuring this camera on the fly very easy so you can focus on capturing the scene in front of you. Overall, this is one of the most fun cameras I've had in my hands in a very long time. It is indeed a camera I want to have with me everywhere I go ...

I already have m4/3 lenses from owning several Lumix bodies. The OM-3 is a great all-around camera that is both retro stylish and packed with features in a compact, lightweight body. I will use for travel, family, macro work and birding. I recommend a third-party grip for heavier zoom lenses and telephotos.

I am very satisfied with my camera. It takes great photos and the image stabilizer is the best of any camera i have ever used. Can't wait to take it on a trip!

Great walk around camera and companion to go with my OM-1 MKII.

I think I would simply say that this camera is a lot of fun to take everywhere with you. It is very well made with a metal body and weather sealing. It has a BSI stacked CMOS sensor that is great for photos and video. It has computational features built in, like live ND, grad ND, live composite, and many others. It also has different filter and other effects you can implement with the mode dial on the front. There really isn't much this camera can't do. The frosting on the cake, is that it looks like a classic OM System film camera, from the 70s and 80s, which is awesome. I will just summarize, by saying that I love this camera, and I take it wherever I go.

Fun and a delight to use. Have not had time to investigate all the color and mono recipes. But very pleased with the OM3

I purchased the OM-3 12-45mm f4 Pro Kit several weeks ago. I haven’t had much time to use it yet, but I’ll share my initial impressions. I’ve been a photography enthusiast for over 45 years and used a very broad range of equipment, both film and digital. The build quality and design of the kit is superb. The build quality is nearly comparable to the best equipment I’ve used including Leica and Hasselblad. While it doesn’t have quite the handmade quality of those other brands, it’s as good as it get for a mass produced product. The image quality seems excellent for my purposes. I’m a non-professional photographer and for my use case it’s highly recommended.
