Data Generated by Connected Products and Related Services
This notice is issued by OM Digital Solutions Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "OMDS", “we”, “us” or "the Company") to users within the EU, in accordance with the EU Data Act (Regulation (EU) 2023/2854), to clearly inform users within the EU about the types of data that may be generated by our connected products and related services, and how such data can be accessed.
The following sections explain the type of data generated, how you may access it, and other legally required information under Article 3(2) and 3(3) of the EU Data Act.
Connected Products and Related Services
This notice applies to the following products provided by the Company within the EU:
- Digital cameras: OM-1; OM-1 Mark II; OM-3; OM-5; OM-5 Mark II; E-M10 Mark IV; TG-7; E-P7.
- Audio recorders: LS-P5; DS-9600.
For related services, the Company does not intend to collect or generate data arising from the Customer’s use of such services, other than any data that may be technically necessary for the provision, security, or maintenance of those services. To the extent that no such data is collected or generated, the data access and sharing rights described in this notice shall not apply.

Type and Nature of Data Generated
Connected products and their related services may generate the data below. The exact data varies depending on product type, model, and usage.
a. Usage Data – e.g., usage history of connected products and related services, such as:
- Operation data (e.g. mechanical shutter count, flash discharge count, dust reduction activation count, image stabilisation operation count when enabled)
- Security Log Data (e.g. Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connection and disconnecting history, connection status, communication errors).
- Environmental Data (e.g., device operating system version, device identifiers, network environment, or other environmental information relevant to product use).
b. Status Data – e.g., device status information, battery condition, error history, including type of error and date of occurrence.
c. Usage Environmental Data – e.g., device operating system version, device identifiers, network environment, or other environmental information relevant to product use.

Format of Data Generated
The data described above is generated in machine-readable formats, including numerical, text, or binary data.
Volume of Data Generated
Depending on the type of data and product usage, generated data is estimated in a range from a few bytes to several hundred megabytes.
Generation Frequency
- Usage Data is generally generated continuously and in real-time during use of the connected products.
- Status Data and Usage Environmental Data are generated in real-time or periodically, depending on the product and environment.
Storage Location and Retention Period
Most data is stored locally on the connected product. Certain data may be processed temporarily and discarded immediately after generation, without being stored on the device.
User operation data does not have a set retention period, while security log data is overwritten sequentially depending on the device’s memory capacity.
Data Access
- Access: Users may access data by submitting a request via the contact address below. This enables us to provide the "readily available data" that we hold.
- Limitations: Certain data may not be accessible due to technical limitations or the absence of linkage with specific products or services.
Data Sharing with Third Parties
- User-Initiated Sharing Requests: Users may request sharing of the data with a third party by submitting a request via the contact address below. Depending on applicable legal, technical or security constraints, certain requests may not be fulfilled.
Data Processing Parties
In connection with the provision of connected products and related services, OMDS and external service providers may be involved in the processing and/or storage of data.
