“One of the most challenging aspects of bird photography is capturing birds in flight. First, it's essential to understand the behavior of different bird species to anticipate what to capture. But equally important is having equipment capable of capturing fast-paced situations. Moments can pass in fractions of a second, so the camera's features are crucial. The picture below of a hunting eagle is a good example. Learn more about how the features of the OM-1 Mark II help me capture such images.”

“In macro photography, you can never have too much depth of field. In magnifications of one, two, or even four times, the focus area is minimal, often just fractions of millimeters, and the subject lacks sufficient depth of field. The Micro Four Thirds sensor standard in OM cameras already provides more depth of field compared to 35mm cameras. However, in addition to that, the computational photography features designed for macro photography within the OM-1 Mark II camera are extremely important to me when capturing images.”

“Landscape photography is an area where various lens filters are commonly used. These filters are often specific to lenses and can be expensive. Filters may be utilized to achieve a slower shutter speed for capturing water flow in daylight or to address the excessive brightness difference between the sky and the landscape, as seen in the image below. The OM-1 Mark II now enables working entirely without lens filters, thanks to computational photography functions specifically designed for landscape photography.”

“Wild animals are unpredictable, and approaching them hastily is not advisable. Photography situations often require the ability to move and be at a distance from the subject as quietly as possible. Additionally, these situations can be prolonged, making compact and lightweight equipment highly advantageous. The weather-sealed OM-1 Mark II camera, along with M.Zuiko PRO lenses, is perfect for wildlife photographers, providing a seamless shooting experience in challenging conditions.”
