This is the first M.Zuiko lens I ever owned. It is a perfect walk around lens as 35mm is my normal focal length for street shooting. Some reviews of this lens mention color fringe, but that is easily fixed in post, but I personally haven’t experienced it in my work. If I needed to replace it today, I wouldn’t hesitate to!!

I’m really happy with this lens. The M.Zuiko 17mm f/1.8 has become one of my favorites — it’s small, solid, and the colors look great straight out of the camera. I really like the focus ring that lets me switch instantly to manual focus; it feels natural and gives a nice sense of control. For street or travel, it’s the lens I pick most often because it’s compact, quick to use, and gives a natural perspective. It’s not made for heavy bokeh, but the overall look is clean and balanced. Very happy with it.
