I purchased my OM-1 II in 2025 as an upgrade from my EM1 II and III bodies. I like the new body a lot. The menu changes are very good and I have used the neutral density and multiple exposure features work really well.

This is my third Olympus/OM body. IMO, this is a huge improvement from the last Olympus DEM models, from the organization of the menus to the feel of the camera in your hand and the ease of using it. Love it.

This is my 2nd purchase of this amazing camera. I like having a 2nd body as a backup or when I am using two different lenses. Wildlife is my main subject that I photograph. I also like to photograph landscape, flower, architecture. Prior to 2019, I used Canon APS-C cameras. For the price, the OM-1 II camera is amazing. Combined with the 2x crop factor and I am still amazed with the quality of the images. I make my own prints and even after cropping, I still make great prints. I can produce up to 16"x 20" prints on my printer. I have customized every button on the camera to make the system work better for my needs. I also own the 150-400mm f/4.5 Pro lens along with the MC-14 & MC-20 extenders. I would not trade this setup for any other system. The versatility and light weight of my setup lets be be out there all day and not get fatigued.

This is my first real camera. I was using an iPhone 16 Pro, which can make some really good images, but I eventually got frustrated with the limitations of the iPhone’s hardware, software, and ergonomics. I did an unreasonably ridiculous amount of online research on many interchangeable lens camera systems, and I ultimately decided that the OM-1 Mark II was likely the best choice for me. Turns out that I was right! My main interests are macro and nature photography, and I have been very happy with what I have been able to achieve so far. I went to a weekend workshop for macro that was put on by six OM Ambassadors, and I learned quite a bit from them. We shot in the rain and at night, and the gear performed admirably. The camera is loaded with all kinds of useful features for macro shooters. I have especially made great use of the in-camera focus stacking with a diffused flash. The 2x crop factor also really helps with capturing tiny details. I really like how well the buttons and dials are laid out and how everything can be customized for however I want to do things. The color-coded menus are also well organized. It’s usually easy to find what I’m looking for. The ergonomics are great. Fits very well in my hand. There are a lot of other features in the camera that I haven’t even explored yet, but I’m looking forward to trying them. Definitely no buyer’s remorse for me!

I love my OM1 MII camera. It goes everywhere with me. Takes beautiful photos wildlife, landscape, people, urban, architecture, ICM!

The OM-1 Mark II is the camera equivalent of a seasoned mountain guide: compact, calm in bad weather, and quick when things get chaotic.
