OM-1 Mark II Body

Ergonomia exelente, ligera y tamaño mediano-pequeño, es MUY TRANSPORTABLE. Enfoque automático muy bueno pero estándar, merece un agregado de enfoque exacto. Medición de luz muy buena Pantalla muy agradable, que requiere un poco de mayor variación en la movilidad. Menú lógico y rápido accesible Filtros de arte naturales, (hermoso densidad neutra). Límites ISO, con variables de velocidad y apertura, en los mejores limites de hoy. Excelentes posibilidades de video, con sonido. A mis 65 anos con manos débiles, secundarios a lesiones cervicales, es la mejor cámara que encontré con relación a comodidad, manejo, profesionalidad y prácticidad. Uso mucha fotografía científica bajo microscopio, estoy acostumbrado a la calidad del detalle celular. Con esto, el esfuerzo en cambiar de Sensor completo a 4/3, llevo muchos avatares negativos, los cuales fueron totalmente falsos, la calidad de cámara y de óptica y de FACILIDAD DE USO, están por encima de lo imaginado, hy hoy por hoy es el mejor sistema que pude haber escogido

I haven’t had a decent camera since an old Pentax from the 80’s so I’m considered to be a legitimate novice w photography. That said, I feel very comfortable in saying I made the right choice to enter this hobby and still have a system I think will excel other choices for me in wildlife and landscape photography. To be honest, I was quite overwhelmed with how to operate this camera when I received it but after a few weeks of using it and study on the web, I’m beginning to at least get a basic understanding. From image stabilization, autofocus options, computerized photo abilities, and weather resistance, I’m confident that it will allow me to be a very good photographer in a much shorter time. For those wanting a high end camera with less weight, spot on photography with amazing clarity, I’d highly recommend OM

I bought this to replace my older E-M1 Mark II body and using my OM-1 Mark I as my backup. I bought this back in Nov. 2025 and as it was very cold where I live, I didn’t get a good chance to put the camera through its paces. I also bought at the same time the “Big White” – the 150-400mm f/4.5 PRO lens. I got the chance to really put these items through their paces during a private photography tour in Costa Rica in Feb./March 2026. As I was photographing large and small birds at some distances, I added the TC-14 teleconverter for about 80% of my shots. Between the lens’s built in 1.25x teleconverter and the TC-14, it gave me up to 700mm (1400mm in 35mm film). The performance and shot quality were over the moon! I couldn’t believe when full out with both teleconverters I could get such great detailed shots. Even with a small subject taking up only about 20% or less of the frame at times, the cropped image had very good detail that resulted in a very good image after some editing. Filling the frame with shots, the resulting image didn’t need much editing – mostly for a bit of noise as in early morning when you are bird photographing you needed higher ISO’s (at times I was up to 10,000 or 16,000) to get shutter speed up for action shots. The level of stabilization was super, most of what I shot was hand-held and having the added HLD-10 battery holder to balance the weight worked very well. In addition to regular shooting, I also did a lot of handheld image-stacking during the day and at night with insects and frogs – I couldn’t believe the level of stabilization doing this – not one sequence failed to stack properly and give a great image. No other system I have ever used worked this good – even our guide was thoroughly impressed by this. I also shot some scenery and used the built in GND feature which is another main reason I bought this camera. What a pleasure not having to play with 3rd party filters attached to the lens. So easy to use to accent clouds and sky. Even used the ND filter feature a few times for those soft waterfall shots – awesome. Our guide is an avid photographer was really impressed by the camera’s features and image quality – I think he is re-thinking his camera system now! So, in conclusion – a fantastic camera, the only thing that could be better would be to have 2 of them.

Honestly the best camera that I have ever owned. It is wicked fast, light, and I feel the urge to carrier it with me everywhere.

I purchased my OM-1 II in 2025 as an upgrade from my EM1 II and III bodies. I like the new body a lot. The menu changes are very good and I have used the neutral density and multiple exposure features work really well.

This is my third Olympus/OM body. IMO, this is a huge improvement from the last Olympus DEM models, from the organization of the menus to the feel of the camera in your hand and the ease of using it. Love it.

This is my 2nd purchase of this amazing camera. I like having a 2nd body as a backup or when I am using two different lenses. Wildlife is my main subject that I photograph. I also like to photograph landscape, flower, architecture. Prior to 2019, I used Canon APS-C cameras. For the price, the OM-1 II camera is amazing. Combined with the 2x crop factor and I am still amazed with the quality of the images. I make my own prints and even after cropping, I still make great prints. I can produce up to 16"x 20" prints on my printer. I have customized every button on the camera to make the system work better for my needs. I also own the 150-400mm f/4.5 Pro lens along with the MC-14 & MC-20 extenders. I would not trade this setup for any other system. The versatility and light weight of my setup lets be be out there all day and not get fatigued.

This is my first real camera. I was using an iPhone 16 Pro, which can make some really good images, but I eventually got frustrated with the limitations of the iPhone’s hardware, software, and ergonomics. I did an unreasonably ridiculous amount of online research on many interchangeable lens camera systems, and I ultimately decided that the OM-1 Mark II was likely the best choice for me. Turns out that I was right! My main interests are macro and nature photography, and I have been very happy with what I have been able to achieve so far. I went to a weekend workshop for macro that was put on by six OM Ambassadors, and I learned quite a bit from them. We shot in the rain and at night, and the gear performed admirably. The camera is loaded with all kinds of useful features for macro shooters. I have especially made great use of the in-camera focus stacking with a diffused flash. The 2x crop factor also really helps with capturing tiny details. I really like how well the buttons and dials are laid out and how everything can be customized for however I want to do things. The color-coded menus are also well organized. It’s usually easy to find what I’m looking for. The ergonomics are great. Fits very well in my hand. There are a lot of other features in the camera that I haven’t even explored yet, but I’m looking forward to trying them. Definitely no buyer’s remorse for me!

I love my OM1 MII camera. It goes everywhere with me. Takes beautiful photos wildlife, landscape, people, urban, architecture, ICM!
