I have had this lens for 8 months now and have found it the best OM lens that I have ever used! To miss out on it you do so at your peril The only negative is the cost of replacing a lens hood 520 pounds sterling is an absolute rip-off when you can buy a 2x converter from OM System for 300 pounds. Come on OM System/ get your act together or you will not be around for long

Ma crainte était lié au fait du petit capteur. Pourtant il n'en est rien les images délivrées par le 150 400 f4,5 sont superbes et cet objectif couplé avec l'OM1Mark2 donnent de très belles images avec une réactivité impressionnante. De plus la mise au point se fait facilement en basse lumière et DXO améliore grandement les photos. Très satisfait de mon achat.

Purchased my M.Zuiko Digital ED 150-400mm F4.5 TC1.25X IS PRO lens in April 2021. As I mainly photograph military airplane action, this is the ideal lens for me. Quick, low weight, sharp and relatively low cost and small size. Most pictures I take with the lens fully open at F4.5 and the pictures are tack sharp every time. The relatively low weight allows me to handle this lens for a whole day without any back problems. I can now cover the full length range that I need from 12mm to 400mm with only 3 quick PRO lenses that range from F2.8 to F4.5

Wow. My main interest is wildlife photography and this lens is absolutely perfect for that purpose. It is light enough to hand hold and (as a user of the Sigma 300-800 in a previous life) without the upper body strength of a weight lifter. The close focussing means that any opportunity that arises for a small subject close up can usually be achieved without a lens change. The inbuilt teleconverter is a very welcome asset for those times when you want a little bit more reach. The IS and the response to subject tracking makes in-flight bird photography a rewarding experience. I have used pro spec lenses in my C*n*n days and nothing was as useful, useable and sharp as this lens. It stays on my OM1 all the time. I have many images uploaded under my profile the vast majority of which were with this lens, I have added three here to illustrate my review.

After more than one year of using this lens for wildlife and nature photography, I am still blown away by this masterpiece. I switched back to m43, coming from Sony A1+400GM and 200-600. Its not only the outstanding image quality, its also the body centric balance of the lens, which makes it so excellent. Together with the MC-14 and the built-in TC 1.25x, you get an incredible reach of 700mm=1400mm full-frame-equiv. with plenty of sharpness. Currently its the sharpest Super-Telephoto-Lens you can get. Not to forget the near to macro capabilities with a minimum focussing disctance of only 1.3m even with the TC/MC!

After switching from full frame (Sony and Canon) to this lightweight telephoto lens immediately fell in love because not only long transportable but also so brilliantly versatile. From mega tele to almost macro capability in one lens is just perfect. It is no problem even with the internal converter to theoretically stop down to 4000mm. The moon image below is 2800mm ef. ff ( 150-400 + 1.25x + 1.4x + internal digital 2x from Om-1). Keep up the good work Om System.
