A new addition to this lens is the 5-axis sync IS, offering stabilisation of up to 7.0 stops EV when paired with compatible OM SYSTEM camera bodies. This cutting-edge feature guarantees stability and reliable performance, even in demanding shooting conditions.
The compact, lightweight design makes traveling to photo locations easier, reducing your load while searching for birds and wildlife. Smooth handheld shooting without a tripod or monopod lets you capture panning shots of moving subjects, whether in flight or on the move.
A new, lightweight tripod mount design allows it to be detached even when the lens is attached to the camera. The tripod mount foot is compatible with Arca-Swiss type clamps, and its shape is optimized for easy carrying when held by the mount.
Hermetic sealing of the entire lens provides IPX1 splashproof protection and a dustproof design. This construction prevents dust and moisture from entering, giving you peace of mind when shooting in harsh environments.
The front lens is coated with fluorine for added protection. In rainy, snowy, or dusty conditions, the lens can be easily cleaned with a blower or lens cloth, allowing for continued photographing without interruption.
