Bird detection AF has been added to Intelligent Subject Detection AF, which was developed using AI technology (deep learning technology). The camera automatically prioritizes detection and continues focusing on a bird’s eyes so the photographer can concentrate on framing. Even when the camera fails to detect the bird’s eyes, it detects the head or body for tracking.

Single AF (S-AF) enables accurate focusing on the subject even with mixed perspectives. Completely remodeled algorithm for S-AF that does not erroneously focus on the backgrounds
C-AF Center Priority can be turned on/off for AF Target modes other than Single, Small, and 121-point. (Default setting is on) Provides assistance in peripheral areas when AF cannot focus on the central area. Effective for subjects that move vigorously. Furthermore, Group 25-point is supported now.
“Low ISO Processing (Detail Priority)” delivers higher resolution. The default setting is Drive Priority. When Detail Priority is selected, the maximum number of frames taken in sequential shooting is lowered.
OM-Log lets you shoot movies without loss of details in shadows or highlight blowouts, delivering greater freedom over video creativity through color grading. An LUT (Look Up Table) file is also released at the same time for grading tasks using Blackmagic Design’s DaVinci Resolve.
