M.Zuiko Digital ED 50-200mm F2.8 IS PRO The 50-200mm F2.8 IS PRO is the world’s only fully weather-sealed, all-purpose super-telephoto zoom lens, offering a 100-400mm equivalent focal length with a constant F2.8 aperture (as of September 2025). With the optional MC-20 teleconverter, it can be extended to an 800mm equivalent focal length. Weighing just 1,075 grams (2.37 pounds), it is built for versatility. Paired with our advanced 5-axis sync IS, this lens supports agile handheld shooting with up to 7.0 stops of image stabilisation.

Built to withstand challenging conditions, the lens features IP53-certified splash- and dust-resistant, and freezeproof construction for reliable performance in the harshest environments. Its 0.78m minimum focusing distance makes it ideal for capturing stunning close-ups of delicate subjects with up to 0.5x magnification (35mm equivalent). Despite its impressive capabilities, it remains remarkably lightweight, making it easy to carry on long shoots or in remote locations. I finally received the lens. Please send any product that costs over $3500 via FedEx or UPS Air. I live in SE Alaska . I ordered from OM System on 5/9/2025 . It took over 3 weeks to receive it!! At any rate the autofocus is very fast and the photos are super sharp. A superb lens.

I have been a long time customer and have purchased most of the Pro level lenses in the past. Last year I finally moved up to get the OM 150-400 (the Big White). I was so impressed with this lens I sold several of my lenses and got the M.Zuiko Digital ED 50-200mm F2.8 IS PRO. It has proved to be just as exceptional and covered almost all of the range of the lenses I sold to purchase it. Great addition.

Great lens, worth the splurge

I extra splurged for this lens to combine with my 150-600 and cover all the ranges I shoot. It has been fantastic and I often find myself just cropping instead of swapping lenses. The 150-600 is great, but this is two steps above at least.

Excellent Mid-Distance Telephoto Lens

This is a terrific lens. Light enough and small enough for hand holding. Images are crystal clear and sharp. It is a perfect lens for the mid-distance range. When you subject is semi-close but you still need a lens that can handle a wide range of composition.

This lens is expensive but wow does it feel good to handle. Yes, it's a bright, sharp lens and it is amazing for that. But an understated aspect of this lens is that it makes me want to use it more. I used my 40-150mm f2.8 pro when the focal length was convenient. I use my 50-200mm f2.8 way more often because it makes me want to go out and capture more shots. The lens that inspires is worth the cost.

I am a person who loves to photograph landscape and wildlife. The 50-200mm F2.8 is an exceptional lens. In some ways it's the smaller brother of the 150-400mm which I have used extensively on safaris. The lens gives me a nice bokeh with both flowers and wildlife. The sharpness equals if not slightly surpasses the 150-400. I find the lens easy to carry around and quick to focus. It is a lens that I will definitely take with me.

50-200mm F2.8 Pro Zoom is worth the price.

Shooting with this lens has confirmed my choice to buy it. It is very fast focusing with accurate tracking as well as focusing. The 50-200mm F2.8 is as sharp as my 150-400mm zoom. No mater the focus distance the results are sharp from close focus to distant subjects. The color and contrast are awesome,

Outstanding resolution, color, and pro build.

I’ve been using the OM System M.Zuiko Digital ED 50-200mm F2.8 IS PRO for sports, landscapes, and bird photography, and it has proven to be an outstanding lens across the board. The resolution is excellent, with plenty of fine detail to work with in post, whether I’m cropping for wildlife or processing high-action sports shots. The apochromatic performance and color rendering are top tier. The files are clean, well-controlled, and consistent, which gives me a strong foundation for editing. Colors respond very well in post-processing, holding up nicely to adjustments without falling apart or introducing unwanted artifacts. It’s a lens that produces high-quality raw files that are a pleasure to work with. Build quality is exactly what you expect from a PRO lens. It feels rock-solid, well-balanced, and clearly designed for serious use. This lens has become a reliable tool in my kit for multiple types of photography, and I’m extremely happy with both the performance and the results it delivers.

I am fortunate to own lenses like the 300mm f/4 and the 40-150 f/2.8. Both stellar lenses. I purchased the 50-200 f/2.8 shortly after it was released. In short, it is simply fantastic. Very quick AF, great handling, the sync IS adds another dimension to the lens. Performance with the MC-14 is stellar, just as it is with the 300mm and the 40-150. Using the MC-20 is not great. Definitely slows down the AF, and the results are hit and miss. Using the MC-20 on the 40-150 f/2.8 is a MUCH better experience. I'll use the 50-200 bare or with the MC-14 for the vast majority of my use. Great lens. I hope OM Systems continues to provide optics of this quality. The lens is unparalleled in the camera industry with the focal length and constant f/2.8 aperture.
